The filter input option filters data from the input data source based on filter criteria. This option can be found at the top of each task.
How to Use Filter Input
- Select Attribute: Select an attribute to filter. Select an attribute from the input data source or an attribute that was created in the job
- Select Operator: Select an operator from the picklist to filter the attribute. Picklist values change depending on the attribute data type.
- Case sensitive search: Case sensitive search defines uppercase letters and lowercase letters as distinct or equivalent. Case sensitive search is disabled by default. Enable case sensitive search on selected values by clicking this option. Case sensitive search is only available on text single-value, and text multi-value data type attributes.
- Select the plus icon to create another criterion. Select the minus icon to remove a criterion
- Toggle between the "And" operator and the "Or" operator by clicking on the "And" symbol
- Update Filter: click Update Filter to update the filter. Remember to click Save in the top right corner of your task to save your changes.
- Add Filter Group: Create a filter group to group criteria together
- Select the "And" operator between groups to toggle between "And" and "Or" operators
A table will automatically generate below the filter and display records that match your filter criteria.
- See how many records match the filter criteria. Expand this section to show records grouped by the CreatedDate attribute.
- Use the table columns section to populate the table with additional attributes. Sort columns by clicking on column headers. Rearrange the table by dragging and dropping columns.
Examples
- Use filter input to create a subset of your input data source. Create this filter in the first task of your job. Creating a subset can be helpful when you are iterating a job on a large dataset.
- Use filter input to filter out Leads that have been converted and that have been deleted.
