Append Lead or Contact Details

Purpose

This task template appends/enriches lead or contact records using a data service provider from the Marketplace.

  1. Select Data Service: Data Appending Service already configured in Data Marketplace.
  2. Fields to send for matching: Map the fields to send for matching.
  3. Use cached results from previous runs: Openprise will cache data for 30 days, which can be retrieved instead of calling data provider again.
  4. Remove existing values: Select this to remove existing data in fields when no match is found.

Data Service - Salutary

When appending contact details using the Salutary Data Service, select the 'Mode of operation' to append details by a specific field. Options include: Get Contact by Email, Get Contact by LinkedIn URL, Get Contact by Contact Details, Get Contact by Personal Email.

  • Get Contact by Email: You will be required to match the email_Id field from Salutary to the email field from your input data source.
  • Get Contact by LinkedIn URL: You will be required to match the linkedIn_url field from Salutary to the LinkedIn URL field from your input data source.
  • Get Contact by Contact Details: You will be required to match the first_name and last_name fields from Salutary to the first name and last name field from your input data source.
  • Get Contact by Personal Email: You will be required to match the personal_email_Id field from Salutary to the personal email field from your input data source.

Data Service - Netwise 

When appending contact details using the Netwise Data Service, select the 'Mode of operation' to control how many contacts Netwise can retrieve. Options include: Search, Fetch.

Search: Use this operation if you want to retrieve more than one contact from Netwise. The minimum number of records to retrieve is '1'.

Fetch: Use this operation if you only want to retrieve a single contact from Netwise. You will be required to match the personal ID field from Netwise to the ID field from your input data source.

Advanced Configuration

  1. Name of the MDS file: If you wish to store outputs to an MDS, type MDS name
  2. If number filed is 0 then save as a blank: Some vendors return zeros to a number field if it doesn't have data. Check the box to save as a blank. This can be helpful when using a waterfall method for enrichment.  If a field has a zero, it is seen as populated, but if saved as a blank, the record will continue through other vendors to enrich this data. 
  3. Write to field output: Check this box for each field you'd like to output
  4. Write to MDS/Reference File: Check this box for each field you'd like to write to the MDS

Tips

  • You must have the appending service you would like to use in the Marketplace already set up. If you are using your own account, you can set up the Marketplace provider yourself. If you are buying the appending service via Openprise, then your service will be set up by Openprise.
  • You can decide how many matching account records to return from the service provider.
  • Depending on the provider used, the data returned by the task may vary.
  • You can set the Marketplace service in test mode so you won't use up your API quota and incur unnecessary costs during testing.
  • The number of input / matching attributes vary greatly across different service providers.
  • The number of data attributes returned by the data provider also varies widely.
