Why is my Pardot Manage Prospect Tags task producing errors?

You will need to set up a pre-check process using the Infer Value task template prior to configuring the Pardot Manage Prospect Tags task template. Without this pre-check process the task or job will produce errors. 

Success with Errors 

This error message occurs when the job includes a mix of tagged Prospects and untagged Prospects. 

1. Tagged Prospects when trying to add - Prospects cannot be tagged if they already contain a tag.
2. Untagged Prospects when trying to delete - Prospects cannot have tags deleted if there is no tag to delete. 

Full Job Failure 

The entire job will fail if all Prospects in the job result in an invalid action. 

1. Add tags to all Prospects that already have a tag 
2. Delete tags to all Prospects that do not have a tag
