Purpose
Line charts are used to display information as a series of data markers connected by straight line segments. This chart type can be used to visualize numerical patterns across different distinct groups such as total opportunity for different product categories.
Field Description
Setup Tab
- Add Series: Select this option if you need more than one series
- Series label name: Optional: Add a custom series name
- Plot values with: Options are - record count, sum of, average of, range of
- Select Attribute: Select the attribute to plot values with
- X-axis labels based on: Select the attribute for the x-axis
- Filter Data: Optional: allows you to set a filter on the data source used for the chart
- Time Filter: Optional: allows for setting a time limit for the data in the chart

**If setting up a dual y-axis line chart, select this tab to customize these settings**
- Chart title: Enter a name for your chart

Series 1: Options for Series 1
- Name: Name that was input for Series 1 in Setup is shown here (Opp count is example shown)
- Y-axis: Select either Left y-axis or right y-axis to apply selections to
- Currency symbol: Set the desired currency symbol
- Separator symbol: Set the desired separator symbol
- Decimal symbol: Set the desired decimal symbol
- Decimal places: Select the number of decimal places
- Show values directly on chart: Check the box to see values directly on the chart
- Series 2: Options for Series 2 are same as options for Series 1 (only shown if you have more than one series in Setup

Left Y-axis: Options for the left y-axis
- Label: Type text here to create a label for the left y-axis
- Number format: Options are the series you've created. For instance, use series 1 or use series 2
- Right Y-axis: Options for right y-axis are the same as left y-axis
