A new version of Openprise is due later this quarter: a milestone release featuring significant changes to the user experience in certain parts of the platform.
We’d like to give you an early view of what’s in store, so you can be prepared when we provide more details and the release date arrives.
We have made these changes to achieve three objectives:
- Reclaim real estate. Building jobs in Openprise today involves a lot of vertical scrolling as many configuration elements lay "below the fold" and out of sight–especially in tasks configured with multiple actions.
- Centralize job and task operations. Task operation buttons like "save" and "delete" are easy to forget when they're tucked at the bottom of every page.
- Enhance navigation. Improve navigation when you save tasks and move from task to task.
A brief tour of some of the new UI you can expect to see on launch day:
- The Task flowchart (when editing tasks) is moving from its horizontal placement at the top of every screen to a vertical placement on the left side of the task configuration.

Task operation buttons move from the bottom of the page to the top-right hand corner of each configuration screen to decrease the need to scroll. Additionally, run reports can be viewed from within a task and allow you to access generated outputs.
These task operation buttons:
will now live up here, with the added run report button. Access the run report and click a task name to access its output once the job has been run: -
Task configurations look different and now expand horizontally across a page to utilize all the space available. Additional task actions are now created using the tab anchors at the top of the task configuration UI, eliminating the need to scroll to the bottom of the page.
Here's the commonly-used "infer value" task, in the process of adding another action:
And here's the "infer value" task in the new version with the tab anchor feature: -
Running a job from the task configuration screen no longer takes you back to the job list screen. Instead, you remain inside the tasks screen. The run report is now available inside a job, so you no longer need to leave the task screen to get to the run report.
Here's what it looks like after running a job today:
But in the new release, you will not have to leave the task configuration to see the job’s progress:
