Redshift as a Data Source
Openprise supports importing data from Amazon Redshift into Openprise. To import Redshift tables, you must create an Openprise data source and choose Amazon Redshift as the Source Technology.
Learn more about how to configure a Data Source here. Please note, you will need to pick "Amazon Redshift" as the Source Technology type.
Once you choose the technology type, you will be asked to add account information so that Openprise can communicate and authenticate to your Amazon Redshift account. The authentication pop-up will be as follows:
- Username - username of the user connecting to Amazon Redshift
- Password - password of the user
- Database name - database name where the Redshift table is in
- Schema - schema where the Redshift table is in
- Port - port number of the Redshift database
- Host Name - host name or IP of the Redshift database
- Use SSL - boolean; whether SSL should be used or not
Once you enter those details, click on "Test Authentication" to verify that Openprise can reach Amazon Redshift.
Please note that schema changes in the Amazon Redshift database table may require modifications to the data source configuration to reflect new or removed database attributes.
Redshift as a Data Target
Openprise also supports exporting data from Openprise back into your Amazon Redshift account. To export records back into Redshift, you must first create a Data Target and choose Amazon Redshift as the Target Technology.
You can find out more about Data Targets here. You will need to pick "Amazon Redshift" as the Source Technology type, and list which Redshift fields Openprise has permission to update.
